Together, We Can Change Lives
Project HOPE’s Annual Appeal
We are excited to feel a chill in the air as fall arrives. But for all of us at Project HOPE, cooler nights also signal the approach of winter—and the difficult months ahead for the people we serve.
Last winter brought some of the most challenging conditions we have experienced in years. More than 50 days of dangerous arctic temperatures, storms, and icy conditions pushed our shelter and overflow spaces beyond capacity. Through it all, our dedicated staff worked long hours to ensure that everyone who needed help had a warm, safe place to sleep and access to essential services.
As a 24-hour, year-round grassroots organization, Project HOPE relies primarily on the generosity of our local community. In October, we will launch our Annual Appeal, and we hope you will consider making a generous gift.
There are many ways to support Project HOPE. You can make a one-time or recurring donation or choose a tax-advantaged option such as a charitable IRA distribution, a gift of appreciated stock or securities, or a beneficiary designation. Every gift helps us meet people where they are and provide the support they need to move forward.
We are also proud to celebrate some of the progress made possible by your support. So far in 2026, we have helped 68 individuals and one family secure housing and move from homelessness to housed:
- During the summer months, we helped 19 people move from homelessness to housed — a milestone worth celebrating!
- Through September, we have helped nine individuals and one family secure housing, creating. new beginnings for people ready to take a path forward.
- This summer, the Governor’s Extreme Hot Weather Protocol was activated 3 times for a total of 13 days. Our campus remained open throughout the day as a cooling space for shelter guests and people who were living outdoors.
We continued to offer showers and other hygiene services, along with bug spray, rain gear, clothing, tarps, and other supplies that help people stay safer while navigating life outdoors.
As winter approaches, the need for Project HOPE’s services will only grow. Your support makes it possible for us to keep our doors open around the clock, respond when conditions become dangerous, and provide practical help and a path toward housing for people experiencing homelessness.
Please look for our Annual Appeal communications this October or click our donate button now. We hope you will consider making a gift—and inviting your friends and family to join you in supporting the people in our community who need us most.
Thank you for helping make this work possible.
