Shelter is not a destination.

It’s a temporary refuge in times of crisis.
Our comprehensive services help individuals overcome homelessness, empowering them to reconnect to their communities and reclaim their lives. Since 2003, we’ve advocated for, supported and sheltered thousands of unstably housed adults in eastern Connecticut. We offer HOPE and a path forward.
Homelessness can happen to anyone.
Each year, hundreds of our neighbors face the prospect of homelessness. Often housing crises are precipitated by job loss, health emergencies, or severed relationships. Those who are chronically homeless live with physical disabilities, mental health challenges or substance use, and require ongoing support. For many, the cost of housing is simply out of reach.
Support Our Mission
Nothing is more exciting than seeing a person go from the crisis of homelessness to the stability of secure housing. We rely on our generous community to support our life-changing work. While a grant from the State of Connecticut currently funds about a third of our operations, your donations keep our doors open and our services active year-round. Please give today. Together, we can end homelessness in eastern Connecticut.
